Five questions to ask before you shoot any video

A tight brief saves more time in edit than any tool.

Before the camera comes out, answer these five questions in writing.

  • Who is watching, and where?
  • What should they do next?
  • What is the one thing they must remember?
  • How long can we hold their attention?
  • What footage do we already have?

If two people on the team answer differently, you have found the problem while it is still cheap to fix.
